The Multicultural Festival is always a fun day and a great community event! This year's event was held September 7, 2019 and already we are looking forward to next year! Laconia Pumpkin Festival!
We hope you have the opportunity to experience the Lakes Region in Autumn...NH Pumpkin Festival is a community-hosted, family friendly celebration of fall and what is unique about New Hampshire. The 2019 Pumpkin Festival will be held October 18 from 4 to 8 pm, and October 19 from noon to 8 pm. Held rain or shine, it is always a fun-filled event and we can't wait! Putnam Fund Shows
Please check local media and the City's newsletter, Laconia Links, where upcoming Putnam Fund shows will be advertised. All Putnam Fund shows are free admission, no tickets required - first come, first seated! The Putnam Fund brings premier entertainment programs to Laconia for all ages to enjoy, and is always FREE! Please check their Facebook page for details of upcoming shows and information.
Annual Spring Clean-Up Days/Spring Leaf Pickup
Annual Spring Clean-Up Days are held in early May each year at the Transfer Station on Meredith Center Road from 8 a.m. until noon. At our annual Spring Clean-Up Days people can dispose of old tires, appliances, furniture or other items of trash free of charge. Electronic waste is also accepted for a fee. Please contact Public Works at 603-528-6379 for additional information. Details of the 2020 Clean Up Days will be announced soon!
Leaf Pickup: The 2020 Annual Spring Leaf Pickup will be held during the weeks of May 4 and May 18, 2020. Fall Leaf Pickup is scheduled during the weeks of November 2 and November 16. Residents can leave 10 bags of leaves during these two weeks on their normal trash pickup day and they will be picked up free of charge. Please note that leaves and yard waste must be placed in paper compost bags; they will be collected by a separate truck, not by the normal trash collection truck. Fourth of July
Please check this page for updates on the City's Fourth of July celebration. Traditionally, the day has included a parade that follows a one mile route from Laconia High School to Opechee Park. Following the parade Opechee Park has played host to a fun, family friendly event with vendors, great food, live music and a gigantic fireworks display at 10:00 pm. Please contact Parks and Recreation at 603-524-5046 for additional information on this yearly event. Dates of the 2020 4th of July festivities will be posted here as soon as they are available.
Hazardous Waste Collection Day
Hazardous Waste Collection Day is held on the first Saturday in August at the Public Works garage on Bisson Avenue. Please contact Public Works at 603-528-6379 for additional information.
Other Local Events
Due to the COVID-19 situation, this year's Laconia Motorcycle Week has been postponed. The new dates for the event are August 22 through August st 30th. Please check this page for any updates, and be sure to mark your calendar for the 97th anniversary of Laconia Motorcycle Week when motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country and around the world come to the Lakes Region for this famous event!. For general information about the event, please contact the Laconia Motorcycle Week Association at 603-366-2000 or visit their website. Information concerning traffic patterns in the Weirs Beach area during Laconia Motorcycle Week will be available closer to the event.
