AS OF TUESDAY, MAY 26, 2020 THE CLERK'S OFFICE WILL BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. WE ARE STILL ASKING THAT ANY TRANSACTIONS THAT CAN BE COMPLETED ONLINE TO BE DONE THAT WAY.
ONCE WE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC WE WILL NO LONGER BE PROCESSING NEW VEHICLES THROUGH THE MAIL OR EMAIL. THESE TRANSACTIONS WILL REQUIRE A VISIT TO OUR OFFICE.

The Governor of NH has authorized us to extend all temporary plates issued on or after February 26, 2020 until May 31, 2020.
The City Clerk's Office is the central storage location for all City records and public records requests. The City Clerk's staff are Municipal Agent's for the State of New Hampshire, allowing them to process a variety of Motor Vehicle registrations, operates as the local registrar for the Department of Vital Records and Statistics, offers Notary and Justice of the Peace services during regular business hours, licenses dogs, and so much more. We are here to help.
The City Clerk's Office is responsible for preparing and overseeing all elections being held in the City of Laconia, including municipal, state and federal elections. If you are interested in assisting at the polls on election days please contact the City Clerk.
